Is a World of Warcraft addiction the same as a Call of Duty addiction?

As far as I can tell, I can’t see a difference. There are so many people who wake up every day and get on xbox live. Some people are engaged half a day or longer. Should we be comparing Xbox Live to World of Warcraft when it comes to playing it all the time? Can’t Xbox Live cause all the side effects World of Warcraft causes?
