What is a good pencil and paper RPG for beginners?

I live in Thailand, and I want to play a paper and pencil rpg with some kids. They are about 10-13 years of age and their English is quite limited. Are there any systems that are simpler than Dungeons & Dragons, but fun, easy, and simple? Thanks for the help.
