When does World of Warcraft start to be fun?

So I just recently got World of Warcraft for my birthday and I must say, it’s really great. But by the time I got to level 9, it just stopped being fun. Leveling felt like a chore, the quests got repetitive, and there was barely anyone on. I guess what I’m asking is, should I stick with it, and wait for it to get fun, or should I leave it now because I’ll find that nothing changes.
